| Description |
This beautiful desk top weather station has all the information that you ever need on weather. It was made in the early 1960's and has been kept up very nicely. The station is housed in a square brass case that sits on a wooden round swivel stand. The brass is still in good condition as is the black wooden stand.
All information on the Barometer, Thermometer and Hydrometer is in 3 languages, French, English and German.
The Barometer goes from very dry to variable (variable) to Sturm (storm). The measurements on the outside are count in inches and on the inside the pressure is measured in mm. One big long arrow like hand will show the tendency and one smaller simple one is there for comparison. Just align it with the big hand and look later for the barometer to fall or rise.
The Thermometer also is measured in both Fahrenheit and Centigrade. The measurement hand is the same arrow shape as in the Barometer and Hydrometer. On the other end of the arrow there is a crescent moon.
The Hydrometer measures Humidity in percent. It also is labeled in French, German and English. The readouts are from sec (dry) to normal to Feucht (moist). Like all 4 displays the background is nice shade of off white an with a black hand.
The alarm clock has a clean face with gold numbers and hands. The hands will glow in the dark. The movement is a 7 jewel mechanical movement that is Swiss made. Push on one edge and the back swings open. Set the alarm with a turning button, then pull the button out and set the clock. On top there is a lever that turns the alarm on and off. The movement itself has to be wound up with a winding button that is also in the back of the clock.
All instruments including the clock work fine.
All pieces are sold as is to the highest bidder. Buyer pays $10 shipping and handling cost. Only money orders and cashier checks are accepted.
